String format UUID

(Mike) #1

In the Classic version you could select String, then format UUID. However, this option appears to be missing in the latest version.
How do I specify that the required format for a parameter or field is UUID?

This is possible in Next. Although I am not sure we have docs on it, you’ll find it under “validations” in the JSON Schema Editor:

@mike did that work?

Hi Taylor,
Thanks for your help.
The problem I’m having is with path parameters. uuid doesn’t seem to be an option on the list…

Hmmm, not sure why uuid isn’t in that list. Let me go check on something…

I’ve opened up an issue with the engineering team. I can’t find any logical reasons why uuid was excluding from this list.

There is one temporary workaround:

Set it as one of the other options, then go into the code view to change it to uuid. It will appear correctly in your documentation but not in the modeling UI.

Cool, thanks for the workaround, Taylor.
